Setbacks in life can take years to overcome. If you have gone through a financial setback due to bankruptcy, foreclosure, debt, divorce, health bills, loss of job, it can take years to overcome.

While it may seem obvious why the setback occurred there are undercurrents that often are not noticed. You have programs running that are causing these setbacks. Before you can advance financially you must work on the underlying programs that are holding you back. If you don’t deal with them at some point they will come back to bite you.

So before you can move forward it will take some introspection to find out what brought the financial setback into your life.

People have tried to help the homeless or someone that was poor by giving them opportunities or money to start a new life. What usually happens is that they end up in the same situation as they were before homeless and poor. The real issue is not money or opportunities. It is the condition of one’s soul that needs to be addressed.

If you are ready to break free from setbacks and unlock your true potential then consider working on your soul.

training, obstacle, ropes course-80123.jpg

If you are struggling with moving forward in business and life. Have been through a lot of heartache, pain, with a loss of peace, joy, love, and happiness. You want to move ahead faster in business and life, but something is holding you back.

  • You’ve been through a lot of pain and disappointment in your life.
  • Have been hurt financially in business ventures, investments,
  • Bad or broken relationships or marriage
  • Attacks of fear, anxiety, worry

Taking the reins of what happens in your life, requires working on your soul.

Hi this is Jason, I have been studying peak performance for business and life for many years. I have invested countless hours trying out different methods, have read books and taken many classes. spending well into the multiple six figures on coaches, classes, books, and other media, not including college. After all this, I have found that If you want to move ahead faster in business and life, you need to work on your soul, you won’t get ahead any faster than what your soul can handle.

Work on your soul. Your EMPS quotient. By doing this you can make assessments to where you are and what you need to work on. I have worked on this for myself and my family and have been able over many years to create a system that will help you get through a life or business crisis faster and come out stronger.

Success and Emotional Intelligence

It has been found that the emotional intelligence of a person is important to the success of an individual. The study showed that a person who had a high I.Q. was not always the most successful. Instead, it found that successful people had a higher emotional intelligence score than those who were not successful.

Another study indicated that giving someone a helping hand does not mean that they will be successful. Even if someone were to receive a large sum of money to get out of, say, being homeless. The study found that just giving a person a large sum of money was not the solution. The person ended up squandering all the money the person ended up homeless again.

This indicates that just intelligence alone is not enough to be successful. It also indicates that even if someone were to receive assistance and money it would not be enough to be successful. Emotional intelligence is a necessary component of the success equation.

That is why many people who take classes on making money or success principles end up back in the same circumstances they were in when they started. The training they received on success principles and money or wealth creation principles is helpful but they also need to improve their emotional intelligence quotient.

There are training programs out there that deals with improving your emotional intelligence quotient. And although many people take this training they still are not able to find success. Then there must still be a missing component to the success equation. I believe that it is the soul component. If you can prosper your soul, then things in your life will begin to change, for as your soul prosper so shall you.

3 tips to Make 2021 Resolutions Achievable

We all look forward to the new year because it gives a chance to reset our lives. We often make new year’s resolutions. Things that we want to change so we can have better lives. They say that most of us don’t stick with our resolutions only a few weeks into the new year. In 2021 you can achieve a few of your goals Here are three tips that will help you to stick with your resolutions.

Tip #1 Start Small and Make it Achievable

Make your resolutions achievable. If its losing weight start with a few pounds and set your goal at an achievable pace. As an example, you could set your goal for 5 to 10 pounds which is what most of us gain during the holidays. So getting back to your average weight is a good start. And setting a time frame of a month or two is also achievable for most people. Start a healthy eating habit or exercise routine. If its improving your finances, you could start with paying down the smallest debt and not taking on any new debt. The extra monthly cash you have can be put into a savings or investment account. Its better to put it somewhere you won’t think about taking it out and make it an automatic payment to your savings or investment account. Make this your financial habit. One thing I did when I was starting out was to “write” a check to myself every month. I didn’t really write the check, I just deducted it from my balance. At the end of the year, there was a decent amount of money in the account that I could do all my Christmas shopping and have money left over. So Tip #1, start small, make it achievable, and make it a habit.

Tip #2 Do Something that Heals your Soul

Since the From Good to Great philosophy is about prospering your soul, my second tip would be to do something that heals and prospers your soul. If you have read my book, From Good to Great, you understand that your soul can hold you back from achieving your goals. It isn’t just a mental state but it is because there are also subconscious issues that are stopping you from doing the things you want to do and causes you to do the things you don’t. Let’s focus on the losing a few pounds goal. It could be that there is something deeper that is causing you to hold on to the weight either by over eating or lack of exercise.

Take the time to do something that heals your soul. Here are a few simple things you can do. Listen to classical music. Meditate and breathe deeply. Forgive and let go of something that has been bothering you, Give yourself some grace. Laugh heartily. and joyfully. Look and feel the sunrise or sunset, gaze at the night sky, be amazed at the beauty and complexity of life, a flower, an insect, a baby, find love in good friendships, family, in old acquaintances, find peace in the quiet moments of your life and breathe in deeply. Allow your soul to drink deeply from love, serenity, joy, and peace. Tip #2 Take time to heal and improve the condition of your soul.

Tip #3 Find God in the Quiet and Small Moments of Life

We often look for God in a far away place, when he is right there with you. He is there when you have no one to turn to. He is there when you can’t see any way out of your situation. He is right there with you hoping that you will see him, hear him, He is there in the bright moments of life. He is also there in the dark moments of life. Listen for his still small voice and write down what you hear for your New Year’s resolutions or goals.

A good practice is seek him early in the morning, when you first wake up take a moment to talk to God and and quiet your mind and listen. You will often get insight into something of importance to you. Don’t forget to write it down quickly or you may forget. Keep a pad and pen close by like on your nightstand. Make 2021 the year your start to really hear God’s call for your life. When you feel like giving in or giving up ask God for strength and perseverance. Finally, tip #3 get close to God and look for him in the small quiet moments of life.

Have a great 2021!

Finding Motivation for your New Years Resolutions

One of the hardest things for me to do is to keep up my motivation. Don’t get me wrong, I usually try to finish what I started but it is keeping the fire going when there isn’t much to get excited about. In the beginning most of us are excited to start a new project, a new exercise regimen, a new diet, even a new relationship. It is easy to be motivated in the beginning because of the new experience and feelings of hope that what we started will turn out great. Like, I’ll have a new body in a year if I keep going to the gym or yoga class. But it is when we are in our third or fourth week that we begin to lose interest, energy, and the motivation to show up the next week.

I’ve taken many seminars and classes over my life time and this is what I have noticed. The first day the room or auditorium is filled and you can barely find a seat if you are late. The second day there are more open seats. And on the third day maybe half the attendees have shown up. By the end of the seminar or class there are only few who stuck it out to the end.

This is a typical situation that I see. Rarely have I gone to one these classes or events where everyone is committed to the end. Unless it is a requirement for certification or graduation or it was very costly to attend. What happened to their enthusiasm after the first day? Some might blame the people who put on the seminar or the teacher for not motivating them enough to show up. Some might say that they already know most of the information so it wasn’t necessary to go to all the classes. Some might say that they got busy or they were tired. They may have valid reasons and didn’t show up or finish because of those reasons. Still I and some others managed to make it all the way through.

Something that motivates me is waiting for that one gold nugget that may be dropped at any moment. The “aha” moment that I may miss if I don’t show up. Maybe the person isn’t the greatest speaker or the seminar wasn’t put on well but it is up to me to decide whether I show up or not. I always think that just showing up is the hardest part. For many people it takes a tremendous amount of energy and life force just to show up. Someone could be giving away a million dollars to anyone who shows up at a particular venue and time and there will be people who were invited that won’t show up. It is just too hard and takes too much energy to get themselves dressed and drive themselves to the destination at a certain time, even though they know they will receive a good reward.

How do you find what motivates you? For most of us it is clearing the obstacles in our souls that are most troubling to us. I find that as I release the things that are stopping me from pursuing my goals, I begin to find motivation to move towards my goal. Fear is one big thing that most people have that stops them from achieving something. You can’t wave a carrot at a rabbit and expect it to come out their hole when they smell a wolf nearby. Often trying to motivate ourselves through thoughts of rewards still is not enough to release us from the fear of the wolf waiting nearby to devour our hopes and dreams.

As you find and release some of your fears that are blocking you from trying to achieve your dream or goal, it gets easier to be motivated to reach them. You will find that there are fear or esteem issues buried deep within your soul that is holding you back or stopping you from reaching your New Year’s resolutions. So take courage and look inside and start removing some of those fears associated with your goals. Maybe its not feeling that you are not enough, or some one told you it isn’t right to think you are beautiful or smart or worthy of that promotion. Go after those fears that have been holding you back. I believe you will be unstoppable if you do.

Are your emotions holding you back?

Can your emotions hold you back from success or wealth, or performing at your best? The quick answer is yes. Your emotional quotient or EQ is often limiting your ability to move forward and be successful in what you want to achieve. There are people who have emotions that help them to succeed and there are people who have emotions that cause them to hurt others in order to succeed. I saw an interview with George Soros on TV and he mentioned that he was unemotional about making money that money was amoral. He didn’t believe that morals applied to making money. That is probably what allows him to create great wealth. There is a scene from Citizen Kane in which the journalist is interviewing his friend and asks him about making money. And he says that its no trick to make a lot of money if all you want is to make a lot of money.

Money is often considered one of the measures of success in a person’s life. But it is not the only measure. There are other qualities that have merit when considering how successful a person is. I think that we value other characteristics of a person when we deem them to be successful. Some of these qualities are things like love, compassion, integrity, kindness, fairness, faithfulness, courage, generosity, perseverance, as well as wealth. But we often overlook some of these other characteristics and measure success by money only. Still, for many people, success equals wealth, for example if we know of someone who is poor yet has all the other characteristics in the world’s perspective they would not consider them high on the ladder of success. Thus, many people are conflicted about their values and how to measure success.

Why? I believe that it is because of one’s emotional quotient. If we let only our emotions guide our choices, then we often will be like the person above who has no moral values when it comes to money. It may be fear or shame that is driving him to make money over the cost of his other values. This is what drives most people to do things or not do things. Their emotions override their judgements and values that should be taken into consideration.

In my book From Good to Great, I talk about the need to deal with these emotions if we want to perform at our optimum level. We are held back by emotions and it is finding and clearing up the underlying issues that created these emotional reactions that will allow us to get from good to great in our lives.

Breaking Free of Negative Thoughts

negative, thoughts, counseling-7074186.jpg

Negative thinking is one cause that is or stopping you from reaching your greatest potential. I know of people who have a habit of thinking negatively and it often translates into speaking negatively. They usually bring down the atmosphere and the feelings of those around them and themselves. If we aren’t careful we can get caught up in this negative talk and thinking. and it becomes normal to speak badly about a situation or someone or oneself.

For many it is easier to think the negative wholeheartedly rather than the positive. When a negative thought comes up into our mind, we often agree with it. But if we want something positive to happen we often have doubts. Why is it so easy to think the negative wholeheartedly? Thinking negatively and speaking negatively is easier to do than speaking positively and thinking positively because we are taught or programmed to do this at an early age. In the Book From Good to Great, it mentions that the cause of these negative thoughts are from beliefs that were “programmed” into your subconscious mind and soul. That is why it is difficult or challenging to stop these negative thoughts from holding you back. An example of this programming is the phrase, “Anything that can go wrong will go wrong.” Many people of my generation, the Baby Boomers, heard this saying it was called Murphy’s Law, named after an aerospace engineer who came up with this phrase. At the time many people were saying this and when something didn’t go right or the way they planned they would say this. So you can see how many people of my generation were “programmed” or taught to think this way. But although it was meant to help an engineer think about all the possibilities of a system failure it was not helpful to the soul of an individual. It began to wire people to think that something will go wrong no matter how much they wanted things to go right.

But you can break free from your negative thoughts. In Chapter 10 of the book From Good to Great, I have section called; Breaking Free of Negative Thoughts. Start by removing your negative thoughts and emotions through the energy healing techniques mentioned in the book, Then program the positive, don’t let the negative thoughts continue. I like to use the EFT method or tapping. Start to speak the positive and think positively. Listen to yourself and if you catch yourself saying the negative, simply stop and say the positive. It will take some time to form this habit of speaking and thinking positively so practice this daily, until it becomes a good habit.

Getting from Good to Great: Forgiving yourself

Prosper in Love Health and Wealth

Forgiving is an important step on your good to great journey. In my book From Good to Great I address why forgiving is important and why it is a difficult step to take. But it is necessary or you will be stuck and going in circles until you can get past this critical juncture.

In order to forgive others we have one important person in our life that we need to forgive first. We need to forgive ourselves. You may be thinking why do you need to forgive yourself, or you may be thinking, “I haven’t done anything wrong to hurt others. I was the one that was hurt.” We are hurt by others that is true. The first thing we must do is take responsibility. Not for the things that people did to hurt us, but for our journey back to wholeness. Forgiving oneself is extremely important to the healing process of our soul.

Often we don’t think that we need to forgive ourselves first. We tend to focus more on those that hurt us. If we were cheated, betrayed or lied to or physically abused in some form we tend to focus on the person or perpetrators that cause the hurt, pain, or suffering. But deep down inside we are blaming ourselves for something. Perhaps you think that you were to blame for getting into the situation or worse it was deserved because you were not a good person and needed to be punished.

Whatever the reason, you are holding yourself responsible and maybe you think that you shouldn’t be living because of this. It is this catch 22 that often keeps a person bound to their failures and even pain and suffering. We think we deserve it and we think that the other person needs to be held accountable. Which is it? Most likely both. We need to forgive ourselves and the ones who hurt us.

To allow yourself to get from good to great you need to forgive yourself first and then it will be easier to forgive the other person. Even in the most terrible of situations, like a child who was hurt by an adult or sexually abused. They feel a lot of guilt and shame and many times they believe that they deserved it or was somehow responsible because they cannot understand why someone would do this to them. It is sometimes easier to forgive others, because to forgive yourself may mean that you have to face the fact that you are in pain and you don’t want to face that and you certainly don’t want to blame yourself for what happened. Yes it is hard. There is no denying that but in order to heal there is some pain that you need to submit yourself to.

Let’s get started and begin the healing process. Choose to forgive yourself and ask yourself why you feel that you are responsible. Start to search your soul for the areas of pain, a good start is to tune in to your body and feel any tightness or pain. Or think of situations in which you tense up or feel tightness in your shoulder, chest or stomach. These are good places to start. Again I like to tap to release the energy blocks as we go through this emotional response to forgiving ourselves.

Tapping exercise: I choose to forgive myself, I choose to forgive myself for the mistakes, transgressions, or iniquities that I have made, I also feel embarrassed, ashamed, or guilty. I choose to release these emotions related to this unforgiveness. I deeply and completely forgive myself.

If you are unfamiliar with EFT, you can learn more about it from Nick Ortner, at thetappingsolution.com website he has a simple and easy lesson on his website. They also have great material and proof on why EFT works.
